Rachael M Cuellar// Published Author & Illustrator

Rachael M Cuellar is an undergrad student studying Psychology at Vanguard University of Southern California in Costa Mesa, as well as a Childcare and Respite for United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County, helping children with disabilities reach their full potential, improve the quality of life for their families and foster an attitude of acceptance and inclusion. She created her children's book when she was nineteen years old and became published when she turned twenty-one. Joyfully living in Old Towne Orange, California and encouraging others to learn the importance of Autism Awareness. Rachael's favorite word is inclusion and favorite verb is love. She believes that little is big and that is merely her desire for her book.

To formally introduce myself, my name is Rachael M Cuellar! I am the author and illustrator of the book, "Why Is He Doing That?" educating and uplifting children about autism awareness! The inspiration was created by a course final project at a community college that rocketed into a beautiful life changing experience! The book was created when I was 19 years old- published when I was 21 years old- and now the book will be 2 years old in June! I am now self-published and learning just as much as you! Let inclusion not just be a potential goal, but an ambitious goal.

Katinka Kraft is a spoken word artist, performer and artistic director of Shut Up and Sign_Speak, a project that brings together deaf and hearing poets in Berlin. On the cobble stone streets of Berlin, she started her performance and directing career, at the early age of 7, with a 80s pop rendition of Mary Poppins. She grew up in a German-American family and moved to the United States from Germany, as a teenager. There she discovered spoken word and eventually became a teacher, organizer and performer in the spoken word and poetry slam scene in the USA for over 12 years. She moved back to her hometown Berlin in 2008.  Here she works as a freelance workshop facilitator, consultant, and artistic director.

She received her B.A. degree from Western Washington University, Bellingham (USA) in Cultural Studies, Youth Advocacy, and the Performing Arts and my M.A in Biographical and Creative Writing from the Alice Salomon University, Berlin. She speaks German, English and is currently learning German Sign Language.
