I am ending 2017 and reflecting on the year that I’ve had, in life, with family and with friends.

There is too much to put into this one episode but I do think it's always worth it to look back and see what you can accomplish in a year and also what cannot be accomplished in a year.

I made some changes in how often this podcast was coming out, little tweaks to the kind of interviews I was sharing and added some musical elements, and all in all I've been happy with how things have turned out.

Listen in to this quickie episode where I recap the highs, the lows and the what's next.

This episode today is all about is foundations.  This is something that  I find myself talking about over and over, and its definetly influenced my teaching style.  I see a thread line in my acupuncture practice as well as in my old soccer and piano days.  I used this a lot back when I was coaching my students in my aerial bootcamp.  I just see this really big, glaring thing that I like to talk about, I truly believe that foundation building is where its at.  So I thought I’d take you through a little bit of my process around building foundations and how I use them in my daily life.

I'm Elise and I make stuff. That's who I am and that's my job.

I started a blog in 2005 because I wanted to share my thoughts with the Internet. A year later, I began sharing craft projects and tutorials. In 2008, I opened my first online shop and since then, I have made and sold everything from letterpress prints to wooden plant stands.

Over the years, I have learned that while I'll always make stuff, my true passion is in helping people set and work towards their goals. In 2015, I launched the brand GET TO WORK BOOK® which provides tools to help you get your goals organized and do the work to reach them. I believe that big things happen one day at a time and my products are designed to schedule out those days. You can learn more about GET TO WORK BOOK® and shop the line here.

I live in San Diego, California with my husband, Paul, and our two young daughters, Ellerie and Piper.

In this Episode I am sharing some of my thoughts about choosing to take a stand for something even if it means that no one will understand or like what you are doing.

I share a couple of personal somewhat embarrasing stories of what its been like to be mostly a passenger in my life and why I think its important for me now to step into the role of the driver.

Brian Bauman is a playwright and founder of Perfect Disgrace Theater, and has been producing experimental queer plays since 2006. Bauman's writing has a cult following and is known as a "playwright's playwright." Suzan-Lori Parks says "Brian Bauman's writing is thrilling, sexy, political and rude. He's making provocative, in-your-face theatre - not for the timid, or, perhaps, just what the timid need." His work has been presented at HERE Arts Center, LaMama Galleria, The Wild Project and Collective Unconscious in NY; The Broad Art Center @ UCLA, Company of Angels Theater, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibtions L.A.C.E., Los Angeles Theater Center, Theatre of NOTE in Los Angeles; CounterPULSE, Poets Theatre Jamboree at California College of Art and the RADAR Reading Series in San Francisco; and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and the Dairy Art Center in Colorado. In this Episode

This was such a treat for me to interview Jen who I originally found via Instagram because of her beautiful art work. I later found too many ways that our lives were similar and knew I wanted to have her on the show.

In this interview we talk about incorporating ease and flow into her current business model and also I also pose the question Is hustle is avoidable in the beginning?

We also talked about how her intuition has served her in her business as well as using art as a way more intimately relate to it.

I think you will really enjoy this episode I had with Jen.

Cynthia Morris is a creativity coach, the author of the novel Chasing Sylvia Beach, Create your Writers Life and The Graceful return.   She is also one of the few coaches for Jonathan Fields Good Life Project.  She has both a depth and playfulness about her that I love.  We share a love of creative journey and watercolor, and she is working on creating her first illustration book.

I absolutely loved getting to talk with Cynthia who shared so much with me about her own messy middle spaces, overcoming them, stepping into them and why she thinks they are so important.

There are some people you immeditely have  a connection with and Cynthia immediately put me in a place of ease as if we’ve known each other for years.

A friend once told me, that whoever has the most certainty wins.  So how can we gain more certainty in uncertain waters?  This is a short episode where I'm talking about some embarrasing moments I've had around certainty, and an atidote I believe will be helpful for you in embarking on uncertain path.

I had the pleasure of interviewing psychotherpist Abby Bird on the show and we tackled some big things that come up in the middle space.  I asked her about the imposter syndrome, comparison trap, and self doubt.  She offered some practical tips and creative exercises that she does with her clients.  She also talked about how she views her own practice as a form of creative expression, which I found insightful.  Creativity truly can arise from anywhere.

Really excited to be sharing this episode I did with Coleen Hodges.  She shares her personal story of how she went after her dream of being a photographer, and the challenges that came up in her relationship during the process.  Coleen tell an amazing story of when she shared her personal story with other budding photographers and the overwhelming response 900 emails of other women who were feeling the the same exact thing.  I knew that I wanted to have her back on the show to talk about this behind the scenes story that rarely gets talked about.

If you haven't listened to Coleeen's episode season 2, definetly go back and check that one out.  She runs an amazing organization called Spectrum Inspired a non profit dedicated destygmatizing autism through photography and art.

I’m a writer, tarot reader, fun-lover, and a kitchen magician. I firmly believe that we can all be heroes and heroines if we utilize the powers of our unconscious minds!

I was first introduced to Tarot in 2013 when a couple of my best girlfriends did an oracle card reading for me. I was shocked at the resonant power of the messages that came through. That night, I experienced a profound moment of urgency about the direction my life was moving in. Something was missing, I could feel it, and the cards were reflecting that. I got my own deck and started doing Tarot for myself not long after that. I ordered a nice fat stack of Tarot books and devoured all of the knowledge I could. At first I didn’t think I could learn it all – 78 different cards?? Each with myriad and multifaceted meanings, and I didn’t even want to think about reversals…

But my passion for Tarot continued to grow and so I kept at it, reading and highlighting, pulling cards, journaling, and eventually sharing my obsession with my family. In the meantime, I also wrote three novels, each involving the supernatural and including Tarot as an element. I used Tarot to write my books, chapter by chapter, pulling cards whenever I was confused or I didn’t know what happened next. In this way, I learned how to work with the cards around creativity. I learned that they can be an amazing resource for blasting through creative blockages and for clarifying those brilliant, gleaming flashes of inspiration I’d get about my stories. The archetypal images on the Tarot cards helped me bring them into focused concepts that I could nail down in text.

I am part nerd, part creative, out on a missions to help amazing women with their analytics and online tools.

I believe that analytics don't need to feel like you are weighing yourself, that your online tools shouldn't be wasting your time, and that you can work on your business in a way that creates energy (instead of draining it).

I love to work with creative businesses as a 'secret digital weapon', complimenting what you already do best; run an inspiring business that changes how things are done in the world!

Hey there! My name is Sarah Natsumi Moore and I am a photographer, explorer, and ponderer. I started out 2016 with a list of lofty goals, full of metrics and benchmarks that seemed important at the time of writing, but two weeks into the year realized I no longer cared to “make more money” or “grow my Instagram followers.” I put the list away and took comfort In the Great British Baking Show (it's good I swear!).

So for the next year I’m trading these New Year’s resolutions for a series of life experiments—12 monthly experiments to be exact. Instead of focusing on success, prestige or image, I am going to spend each month as a guinea pig living in a way that challenges my fears and/or questions my current way of living. I want to explore life’s big questions while also testing simple habits that create contentment. It will be my personal research on being.

While this Sonoma Valley transplant hails from Arizona, Danielle spent her transformative, post-college, early adult “discovering the world years” living in the Midwestern United States, but traveling the world. Working in the car racing industry for what seemed like a life time, specializing in the “left brain” work of accounting and finance, building businesses, sponsorships and marketing left her feeling like there just HAD to be something more creative on the horizon.

Now the creator of her own destiny (and schedule) Danielle is growing her own enterprise as a Business and Lifestyle Strategist and Coach, Desire Map facilitator and all around go-to girl for most things “productivity through technology”. Not as much world travel as auto racing, but WAY more time for the good life in the Bay area.

Mama of two littles, lover of binge watching tv (Helloooo Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Video) and dreamer of tiny pockets of free time for creativity, Danielle has a true desire share space with other creative women and prove that when they get together to collaborate, support and lift one another to new heights, so much more is possible.

Fav Quote these days:

“The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time” -Mary Oliver

My name is Michelle. I’m an acupuncturist and I’m passionate about marketing and practice management.

I also work at Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture (FLSAOM) in Administration, and I teach in FLSAOM’s Integrative Practice Management course.

I’m passionate about acupuncture and believe – like you do! – that it can change the world.

But we can only change the world if we as a community of acupuncturists can reach more people and heal more patients. I want to help you succeed and do just that, with marketing & practice management advice and plenty of inspiration from other acupuncturists.

As acupuncturists, we have such a wealth of knowledge on everything from treating patients to running businesses, starting nonprofits to sharing our healing skills around the world. Let’s share that incredible knowledge with each other.
